I want to get tattoos someday. I have a chance to get tattoos in America. But I will have problems in daily life if I have. I am Japanese.😅
いつかタトゥーを入れてみたいなとは思います。アメリカでは、タトゥーを入れる機会がいくらでもあるので。でも、タトゥーを入れたら、日常生活に支障が出そうです。私は日本人なので。😅
In Japan, tattoos are okay, but many places don’t allow people who have tattoos. Some places might require people to cover their tattoos. A few years ago, my friend visited Japan. She had a small flower tattoo on her arm. She was staying at a Ryokan(traditional Japanese inn) and wanted to experience an Onsen (hot spring). Unfortunately, the Ryokan staff stopped her taking a bath. She was very upset.
日本ではタトゥーをしていても大丈夫ですが、タトゥーをしている人達をお断りにしているところが多いです。場所によっては、タトゥーを隠すように言われることもあります。数年前、友人が日本へ行きました。彼女の腕には、小さな花のタトゥーがありました。彼女は旅館に泊まっていて、温泉に入りたいと思っていたそうですが、旅館のスタッフが彼女が温泉に入ることを止めたそうです。彼女はとても残念がっていましたけど。
So, long story short, it is inconvenient to have tattoos in Japan…
要するに、日本ではタトゥーがあると、何かと不便…
Definitely, my husband and Mom would be surprised if I had tattoos. They are conservative people. My Mom was angry when I opened my piercings (hole). Piercings are not common in Japan. Many people prefer using clip-on earrings (pieces of jewelry). I did when I was a teenager and closed them a few years later. I started working in the office.
間違いなく、私がタトゥーをしたら、夫と母は驚くと思います。彼らは保守的な人達なので。私がピアスの穴を開けた時も、母は怒っていました。日本では、ピアスは一般的ではないかな。多くの人はクリップ式のイヤリング（ジュエリー）を好みますし。私は10代の頃にピアスの穴を開けて、数年後に閉じました。会社で働き始めたので、仕方なくです。(一応社会人経験があります…)
Some Japanese friends (in America) have tattoos. I want to put my grandpa’s face and kids’ birthdates on my left arm.

I lived with my grandparents for almost 20 years. I have many fond memories of my grandparents. My grandpa always took my side.
