I went to Trader Joe’s. My Japanese friend asked me to buy Polypropylene shopping bags. According to my friend, these bags are popular in Japan.
トレーダージョーズへ行ってきました。日本にいる友人から、買い物バッグを買うように頼まれたためです。友人によると、このバッグは日本で人気があるとのこと。

Each state has different supermarkets. In Florida, the most popular one is Publix. Sometimes I go there and also go to Hispanic-owned supermarkets. For example, Sedano’s, Bravo, and Presidente. The prices between American-owned supermarkets and Hispanic-owned supermarkets are somewhat similar, but the food products are slightly different. In the Deli section, American-owned supermarket sell sandwiches, fried chicken, and sometimes sushi (in my local Publix). Hispanic-owned supermarket also sell sandwiches and cooked yellow rice, meat and fish.
州によって、スーパーは異なります。フロリダで最も人気があるスーパーは、「Publix (パブリックス)」です。私は時々そこへ行きますし、ヒスパニック系のお店にも行きます。ヒスパニック系のスーパーだと、例えば、「Sedano’s (セダノス)」、「Bravo(ブラボー)」、「Presidente(プレジデンテ)」等々。アメリカ系スーパーとヒスパニック系スーパーは値段は大体似たような感じですが、売っている物が少し違います。お惣菜売り場は、アメリカ系スーパーではサンドイッチ、フライドチキン、時々寿司が売っています（私の地元のPublixにはあります）。ヒスパニック系スーパーでは、サンドイッチ、調理されたイエローライス、肉、魚等が売っています。
I am Japanese, so I go to the Asian supermarket too. I know a big Asian supermarket chain, Foodtown. I have been there several times.
私は日本人なので、アジア系のスーパーにも行きます。「Foodtown (フードタウン)」という大きなアジア系のスーパーマーケットチェーンも知っています。何度か行ったことがあるかな。
Trader Joe’s is one of my favorite supermarkets in the U.S. On Friday, I had to drive a little bit far, so I stopped by Trader Joe’s to buy some stuff.
トレーダージョーズは、私がアメリカで好きなスーパーの1つです。金曜日に少し遠くまで運転する用事があったので、買い物をするためにトレーダージョーズに立ち寄りました。
The inside of Trader Joe’s was clean. I found local and international food products. I bought glazed sour cream donuts and oolong tea. Donuts with oolong tea!? The sour cream donuts were good. I usually don’t eat (and I don’t like) sweet foods for my health. I like to eat donuts with coffee without sugar and milk.
トレーダージョーズの店内はきれいでした。地元産と外国産の食材を見つけました。私は、サワークリームドーナツとウーロン茶を買うことに。ドーナツに烏龍茶！？ サワークリームドーナツは、美味しかったです。普段は健康のために甘いものは食べない（好きではない）のですが、砂糖とミルク無しのコーヒーと一緒に食べるのは好きです。
When I paid, the cashier asked me, “Where are you from?”. I bought 10 polypropylene shopping bags, so she thought that I was a tourist. I said to her, “I live in Florida.” She was laughing. She probably wondered why this Asian woman got so many shopping bags. 🤣
レジで支払う時、「どちらからいらっしゃいましたか？」と聞かれました。私が買い物バッグを10個買ったので、彼女は私が観光客だと思ったみたいで。私が「フロリダに住んでいます」と答えたら、彼女は笑っていました。そりゃそうだろうな…このアジア人、どうしてこんなにたくさん買い物バッグを買ったのか不思議だった思います。🤣
Polypropylene shopping bags have a cute design. Each store may sell different designs and limited-edition bags. I got these this time.
買い物バッグのデザインは可愛いです。それぞれのお店で、違うデザインや限定バッグが売ってるかも。私が今回ゲットしたのは、こんな感じ。
