Today is the last day of spring break for my kids. After next week, they will take the test. I remember when I was a student. I didn’t like taking tests.

Beckoning cat 招き猫
A long time ago, one of the bloggers from Malaysia shared a photo. It was a beckoning cat. Japanese people believe a beckoning cat brings good luck to the owner.
Each paw and color has a different meaning.
- Left Paw: The left paw generally attracts customers.
- Right Paw: The right paw brings wealth and good fortune.
- White Color: Symbolizes happiness and invites positive energy.
- Black Color: Symbolizes protection against bad luck or illness.
- Gold/Yellow: Symbolizes financial wealth and success in business.
- Pink: A modern variation that symbolizes love and romance.
I have never seen other colors. Have you ever seen a green, blue, or purple beckoning cat?
Luck with Japanese lucky amulets お守り
I wrote about Japanese lucky amulets, which are called “omamori.”
If you have one, you will be protected from evil and bring good luck.
I added a small turtle charm for the necklace. Turtles also symbolize good luck and protection, longevity, and healing.
We are making new ones.
