LILI’S ROOM【2】

Hi,

How are you?

I was busy last week. My kids have FAST tests next month, so I had to attend the meeting and adjust the schedule. The spring break will start next week.

As you know, we are making handmade accessories.

I want my kids to learn something through experience. So I decided to set a design theme for each season.

  • Spring: Flowers
  • Summer: Animals
  • Fall: Food
  • Winter: Ocean

We are going to connect these themes to environmental and social issues. For example, flowers make me think of insects. Insects make me think of bees. Bees are essential for the environment. Why are bees essential?

Yesterday, I got a message from a blogger. I am an animal lover. I can’t ignore animal abuse and neglect.

I have been mapping ideas. I think I could collaborate with other bloggers and organizations soon.

Hello! It’s nice to hear from you.

It sounds like you’ve had quite a busy and meaningful week, especially preparing for your children’s FAST tests and organizing things before spring break begins. I hope the meeting went well and that the new schedule will make things a little easier for everyone.

I really admire the idea of teaching your kids through hands-on experience. Setting a design theme for each season—flowers, animals, food, and ocean—is such a creative and thoughtful approach. It not only encourages artistic expression through the handmade accessories you’re making, but also helps children connect creativity with real-world ideas like nature, the environment, and social responsibility.

Yes, I have 3 kids studying at online school. Well, I am still thinking about a handmade project. I have a limited budget to do it. Also, we receive materials from outside the US. We have to wait after ordering.

My daughter wants to try…😅 As a trial, we will start sometime this year.

That sounds like a wonderful idea. Starting a handmade project, even on a small scale, can be a very meaningful experience—especially when your daughter is interested in trying it. Sometimes the best projects begin as simple trials and grow naturally from there.

I completely understand the challenge of working with a limited budget and waiting for materials to arrive. But planning it step by step and starting sometime this year sounds like a very sensible approach. I’m sure it will also be a fun and creative learning experience for your kids. Wishing you and your daughter the very best with the project!
