以前にも自分の趣味や特技について書いたことがありますが…
❶ Cutting tree branches and arranging flowers
木を切ったり、花を生けること。
Have you ever seen green flowers?
緑色の花って見たことありますか？
❷ Writing
文章を書くこと。
I want to publish my books, maybe children’s books or language textbooks. When? I don’t know yet.
いつか子供達向けの本や語学系の教科書を出版してみたいかな。いつ頃？まだ分かりません。
❸ Playing the piano and Taisho-goto…
ピアノを弾いたり、大正琴を弾いたり…
I started playing the piano at age 6 and became a semi-professional at age 20. After that, I quit. Why?🤔 Around that time, I knew that the music industry is competitive. To tell you the truth, I had practiced the piano for a long time, rather than just loving it. Suddenly I felt bored.
6歳の時にピアノを習い始めて、20歳でセミプロレベルまで行きました。でも、その後辞めました。🤔 音楽業界が厳しい世界だということを知ったのも理由ですが、元々ピアノが凄く好きというわけでなく、何となく子供の頃から練習してきたから続けたというのが本音です。急につまらなくなりました。
Even though I don’t practice every day, my fingers still remember how to play the piano.
毎日ピアノの練習はしていませんが、今でも指は弾き方を覚えています。
Now I play the Taisho-goto. It is an instrument from my hometown. My aunt gave it to me because I can read musical notes.
今は大正琴を練習しています。大正琴は、私の出身地生まれの楽器です。音符が読めるので、叔母から譲り受けました。
❹ Driving a car
車の運転もなかなか上手かな。

どうして分かるの？
I have never had a big car accident. (I mean I have never hit and crashed someone’s car…) I drive safely.👍
私は今まで大きな事故を起こしたことがありません。(自分からぶつけた事故はゼロ）安全運転を心がけています。👍
❺ Playing the action and race games!
アクション系のゲームやレース競技も!
Every month, I go to K1 speed tournament for my daughters’ race competitions. I don’t race because my youngest daughter is a baby. Instead of racing, I play the car racing arcade game in the same building.
毎月、娘達がレースに参加するためにK1スピードトーナメントへ行きます。1番下の娘が赤ちゃんなので、私はレースに参加しません。でも、同じビルの中にあるレースゲームで遊ぶことはあります。
Someday, I want to compete with my daughters in the K1 speed tournament. What does my husband do while daughters are competing in the race? He also competes in the other (adult) race, and sometimes he participates in the drifting event.
いつか、娘達とK1スピードトーナメントで競ってみたいですね。娘達がレースに出場している間、夫は何をしているのかというと? 実は彼も、別の大人レースに出場します。時には、ドリフトする時も。
We may not be mature enough as parents. We are both in our 40s.😅
親として、私達はまだ大人になりきれていないかもしれません。共に40代ですけど。😅
