Code Ninjas is a programming school. Since my children are studying at a state-approved online school, they have required computer skills.
The eldest daughter is a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) girl and took the gifted assessments at 10. She was very close to gifted but not qualified. Her teacher asked to retake, but she didn’t.
The definition of being gifted is children who demonstrate an advanced ability or potential in one or more specific areas. What are the characteristics of gifted children?

These are some examples. She is currently taking one grade ahead in both math and English Language Arts (ELA). Her favorite subject is science, and she always reads articles about endangered species. I like frogs and geckos, so I understand her somewhat. I remember she was sensitive to color and scents.
I think Code Ninjas is a good place for children who like STEM subjects. They love anime and video games. The teachers also use 3D printers to create their own projects.
In my time, there were no computer classes at school.

長女はSTEM (科学、技術、工学、数学) 分野が得意で、10歳の時に「ギフテッド」の検査を受けました。結果は、ギリギリ (判定に1～2点足りない) 認定されなくて、担任の先生から再検査について聞かれたけど、受けませんでした。
「ギフテッド」は、1つ以上の分野において、優れた能力を持つ子どもと定義されています。今は数学と英語 (ELA) が1学年上のクラスで勉強中で、絶滅危惧種についての記事をいつも読んでるかな。私もカエルやヤモリが好きだから、彼女の気持ちが少し分かるけど。あと、色や匂いに敏感だったかも。
「Code Ninjas」は、STEM分野が好きな子ども達にとって良い場所だと思います。みんなアニメやビデオゲームが大好き。先生達も、3Dプリンターを使ってプロジェクトを進めてたり。
私の時代は、学校でコンピューターの授業なんてなかったなぁって。

What an interesting glimpse into your children’s learning journey! 😊💻 It’s wonderful to see how education has changed so much. When we were in school, computer classes were hardly part of the curriculum, while today programming and digital skills can become an important part of a child’s education.

Absolutely! 😄 Technology keeps changing so quickly that sometimes it feels like we are running to catch a moving train! But learning something new keeps the mind active and the journey interesting.
