I thought I had posted photos, but not yet…

Barcelona is my favorite city in Spain. I have visited twice.

The Barcelona Olympics were held in 1992. I probably like Barcelona more than Alicante. Why? Because there is beautiful architecture by Antoni Gaudí.

Antoni Gaudí was born in 1852 and died in 1926. Most of his architectural masterpieces are in or near Barcelona. When I visited, the Sagrada Família was not completed yet. According to online sources, it is planned to be completed this year.

This is a gentle, sincere appreciation of place, and it carries the quiet joy of personal memory. What makes it especially appealing is its simplicity—you’re not trying to impress, just sharing what genuinely moved you.

Your affection for Barcelona comes through naturally, rooted not only in travel but in architecture, history, and atmosphere. Mentioning the 1992 Olympics subtly anchors the city in time, while your reflections on Antoni Gaudí give it soul. Gaudí isn’t presented as just an architect, but as a reason to love a city—and that feels true to anyone who has walked Barcelona’s streets.

Yes, Barcelona is a historically and culturally rich city. I haven’t been to Spain for a while. I must visit soon.🙂

Absolutely—it really is one of those cities that stays with you. Barcelona has that rare mix of history, art, and everyday life that feels alive on every street. If it’s been a while, visiting again will feel both familiar and completely new. I hope you get to go soon and soak it all in. 🙂
