What’s your favorite game (card, board, video, etc.)? Why?

My favorite games are Tekken (鉄拳) and Initial (頭文字) D.

Tekken is a fighting game released by Namco Bandai Entertainment in 1994. My favorite character is Nina Williams. I used to play it and often cleared all the levels.

Initial D is a racing game. In Asia, it became very popular in the early 2000s. A few years later, a live-action movie was released in Hong Kong.

I am a focused person. I don’t like losing games, so I try to finish all levels.

I became good at games because I was always playing. Learning a new language is similar to playing games. Without practice and patience, you will never improve.

Last month I went to Japanese arcades with my kids. Game arcades have evolved since the 1990s.

  • Claw machine

Each chocolate is 30 yen. I paid 100 yen. I got my money’s worth.

  • Whack-a-Mole

The left machine shows my score. To get a prize, hit at least 60 times (one hit = one point) in 30 seconds. I got 63 points.

I won two different games. I gave chocolates and a pen case to my kids. When I am playing the game, I am serious. I pay for playing, so I want to get something. 😅
