What’s your definition of romantic? Oh…

Daily writing prompt
What’s your definition of romantic?

Don’t ask me… I really don’t know. 😅

Romantic means Love? Beautiful scene? Imagination? Or New Movement?

I don’t know how to define “romantic” in one word.

A long time ago, I watched the Mexican movie, Como agua para chocolate (Like Water for Chocolate). I read a book, too. I have liked it. I think this story is definitely romantic.

The other example is sunset. It is sometimes a mystical and beautiful scene.

Also, I think my imaginative world is romantic… but I am a realistic person. My imagination may be weird to other people. 🤣

One source explained that the word “Romantic” has multiple origins. It was derived from the word “Romance,” which was meant to be written in a Romance language. The other source explained that the word was developed from a vernacular dialect within the French language. So, the word was originally not the meaning of Love.

Language is evolving. 🙂
