Japanese people bow (Ojigi) a lot. The angle of the most formal bow is 45°. For a first meeting, it is about 30°, while general greetings to colleagues are 15°. There is a culture of precisely formulating your bow according to your status.

Do you want to experience the most formal bow? The staff at the entrance to the hotel and shop will show you.

I wanted to share this information. I have seen my kids bowing at the karate dojo.

Hi! In Japanese culture, respect is important. Sometimes, senior-junior hierarchies are complicated… 😅
