Karate is a martial art developed in the Ryukyu Kingdom (Okinawa). I would love to meet Japanese karate masters.

Karate masters are highly experienced and hold the 5th-degree rank (black belt).

My kids have been learning karate for three years. Their sensei (instructor) holds a 9th-degree black belt and has been teaching for over 40 years.

Last Saturday, they competed in the local tournament and won trophies.

The competition consists of Kata and Kumite.

  • Kata (forms in English) are solo movement patterns.
  • Kumite (sparring in English) is active combat.

Karate builds mental discipline and trains self-defense techniques.

I would like to talk about practices.

Thank you for your comment. I wanted to reply yesterday, but there was a tech issue on Jetpack (still not solved…). I am sorry to ask about your past. Are you still doing karate? Here jiu-jitsu, or jujutsu (Brazilian style, not Japanese) is popular.

Thank you, Lili! 😊 Please don’t apologize for asking about my past. I’m happy to share my story.

I started with Judo and later moved on to Karate. Martial arts taught me discipline, patience, respect, and how to channel difficult emotions in a positive way.

I’m not actively practicing Karate these days. Over the years, I’ve had several physical challenges, including problems with my knees, spine, and hips. However, the mindset and lessons I learned through martial arts are still part of who I am today.

It’s interesting to hear that Brazilian jiu-jitsu is so popular where you are! 🥋 Martial arts may differ in technique, but the values of discipline, respect, and perseverance connect them all.
😊 No need to apologize at all. And I’m sorry to hear you’re still having trouble with Jetpack!

I also use WordPress for my website, The Mustang Advantage, so perhaps I can help you troubleshoot the issue. What exactly is happening with Jetpack? Is it affecting your comments, statistics, or something else?

Let me know what error you’re seeing, and we can try to figure it out together. Sometimes a fresh pair of eyes makes all the difference! 👍😊

Thank you for your interest in my story.
