After two years of learning karate, my kids received their certificates on Thursday.
Each karate association has different styles and rules. My kids are learning Goju karate. This time, they passed the test for advanced white belt. The next belt color will be green.
The Ranking System:
- White Belt with no stripes :9th kyu
- White Belt with 1 stripe :8th kyu
- White Belt with 2 stripes :7th kyu
- White Belt with 3 stripes :6th kyu β my kids are hereβ
- Green Belt :5th kyu
- Purple Belt:4th kyu
- Brown Belt with 3 stripes :3rd kyu
- Brown Belt with 2 stripes :2nd kyu
- Brown Belt with 1 stripe :1st kyu
Black Belt is after Brown Belt. At a karate dojo, higher-level trainees can teach lower-level students (senpai ε θΌ© and kohai εΎθΌ©).
The most important thing is “Keizoku wa chikara nari (ηΆηΆγ―εγͺγ).” It means “Don’t give up. To achieve mastery, consistent effort and practice are important.”
Nothing is impossible. π
