I wrote about my future plans before. I am interested in the real estate business, particularly rental and Airbnb.
My father-in-law is doing it right now. You might know about the American subprime mortgage crisis between 2007 and 2010. He bought a second house for his parents-in-law in 2011. The price was $87,000.
After his parents-in-law passed away, he rented it out to the legal immigrants from Latin America. I have also met several renters.
Last month, the renters left suddenly because they couldn’t renew their legal status.
After they returned to their country, he went to clean the house. They were probably in a rush. Furniture and kids’ toys were left in the house.

They paid monthly rent and were not troublemakers. He looked disappointed. I know he did a lot of work for renters.
I am over 40. I am not a millionaire, but I plan to own a small house in my hometown or in rural Japan. I don’t know if my business will succeed or not. I just don’t want to regret not doing it later.
I also started thinking about my parents’ house. It is getting old and needs remodeling. My dad currently goes to an adult daycare center.
I am an only child. I have many things to think about.
