➀ My ancestors
One day, I went to my grandparents’ grave. Surprisingly, I found a gravestone with western names in the same area.
I was told that I am the first person who got married to a non-Japanese. But I am not sure. Who is Maria (one of those names)?

I am Buddhist. But my grandma believed in Japanese gods (Shinto), and my husband is Catholic (his father’s side is originally Jewish). I am surrounded by different religions. So, my stance is somewhat spiritual but not religious. I do mediation and yoga every day.
