After Texas, we stopped by Hope, Arkansas. The original plan was to stay in Texas for a few days, but we couldn’t find cheap hotels in Dallas.
Hope is located in the southwest of Arkansas. Do you know anything about the city?
Every summer, the watermelon festival is held. Also, the town is the birthplace of three Arkansas governors. The most well-known governor is Bill Clinton. He served as the 42nd president of the United States from 1993 to 2001.
His birth name is William Jefferson Blythe III. The grandparents purchased this house in 1938. Their daughter (Bill Clinton’s mother) lived with them after the death of her husband. In 1950, she remarried and moved with her son to another house.

The house was nice, but I wondered why so many cicadas are in the backyard. The next building is Klipsch Museum Visitor Center (Audio Museum).
I think someone brought cicadas there…
