I visited here many times when I was a kid.
The Nagoya City Science Museum is located in Shirakawa Park. In the same area, there is also an art museum. Both museums have a long history. Nagoya is an industrial city, so the science museum has connections to the local institutions and companies. Opened in 1962, the building has sections, such as Science and Technology, Astronomy, and Life Science. Visitors often come to enjoy a large planetarium.
名古屋出身の私は、子どもの頃に数えきれないくらい「名古屋市科学館」を訪れました。白川公園内には名古屋市美術館もあって、どちらも長い歴史のあるミュージアムです。名古屋は産業都市なので、科学館は地元の教育機関や企業とも関わりがあります。1962年にオープン、理工館、天文館、生命館といった展示エリアが見学できます。来館者の中には、巨大なプラネタリウムを楽しむ目的で来る人もいます。
