The Koreshan State Park is beautiful. In 1893, Cyrus Reed Teed founded the community with a group of members in this area. After his death, membership declined. In 1961, the last members donated the property to the state.

One can only experience someone’s culture by living there. Their food, clothing, and language reveal a person’s culture.
In my stereotypical view (as Japanese), cults are negative and religion is positive. The reason is that the words “cult” and “occult” are linked. “Occult” means magical or mysterious. Both words are loanwords from English to Japanese. But the word “cult” is originally from the Latin word “cultus,” which means “worship.”
By the way, I’m Buddhist. My husband is Christian. My parents are both Buddhists, but believers of different sects. And my grandma was a Shinto believer. 😅
Follow any religion, but with complete faith. Every religion will bring you closer to yourself. Religion makes us good people.
