I have had different jobs. My first job was at McDonald’s in Japan. When customers asked me, “Smile, please,” I showed my best smile to them. During winter break, I worked part-time at a post office.
When I was a college student, I worked as a lifeguard, tutor, exam proctor, office administrator, and so on.
My favorite job was at the post office. I worked there for so long. My supervisor asked me if I was interested in working full-time after graduation.
I also volunteered when I had time.
After coming to the US, I worked at an Asian supermarket, a Japanese restaurant, a travel agency, and an institution.
I needed money. Well, I like working and being busy. 😅

I got my first part-time job at 16 (10th grade). Many college students in Japan have part-time jobs. Some continue to work in the same workplace after graduation.🙂
This is a very good thing. It is great to help your parents. You can also cover your study expenses with a part-time job.
