I am a cat lover. I currently have 4 cats in the house and 4 cats in the backyard.
In 2018, I lost a male cat. His name was Miso.
When he was around 8 years old, he looked sick. I wanted to take him to a vet as soon as possible. But I was pregnant and also had serious health issues.
I had to stay for treatment in the hospital. While I was in the hospital, my parents-in-law came to feed Miso.
One week after my son was born, Miso died. I made his grave in the backyard. I really felt sorry for him. If I could take him to a vet, he might live longer…. I blamed myself and said to him, “I will always wait for you (if you wish to stay with me again).”

Since I lost him, I have had several pets. And now, I have another Miso.
I call him Miso-Miso because his face, body color, pattern, and personality are very similar to Miso’s.

In April of last year, suddenly Miso-Miso came to my house. I bought a small cat house for him and others. I am going to do a DIY project soon.
When I was a kid, I read a story from Japanese folklore. The story is that a man saved a crane, and later a crane returned a favor to the man.
There are different versions. This video is one of them. Do you think the title is correct? To me, (The Tale of) The Grateful Crane sounds better.
I said “hi” to Miso-Miso this morning. He looked happy.
