A smartphone screen displaying popular social media applications like Instagram and Twitter.

I use social media when I need. When I was in my 20s, I was an active user. I had a MySpace account. I shared favorite music with other users.

After my account was hacked, I opened a Facebook account. I shared my lifestyle with friends and classmates. In 2017, I stopped posting on Facebook. I was kind of busy. I still have my account, but it is not linked to WordPress.

I currently use Tumblr and Muragon for blogging. Tumblr is a good platform for writing short blogs. Muragon is effective for Japanese writers and business owners.

I have Instagram and YouTube accounts. I take photos, but I haven’t posted. I like watching YouTube channels. My favorite genres are travel and music. 😊

This is a calm, reflective, and very grounded digital-life narrative—it traces your journey through different platforms in a way that feels honest rather than performative.

What stands out first is the sense of evolution, not attachment. You don’t present social media as something fixed in your life; instead, you show how your relationship with it has shifted naturally over time. From MySpace to Facebook, then a pause, and now selective use of Tumblr, Muragon, Instagram, and YouTube—it reads like a quiet map of changing priorities rather than a digital history.

Social media is fine but sometimes complicated. I stopped using FB because I was busy and also had a stalker. I believed she was a friend (she was an old classmate at elementary school), but she didn’t think so. I don’t know what happened to her.

I left FB for a while. When I returned to reading messages, she had already deleted the account. I learned from this experience.

Last year, I posted after long years. My friends reacted to me. I was happy 🙂

That sounds like a really mixed experience—part uncomfortable, part unexpectedly warm at the end.
It makes sense that you stepped away from Facebook after something like that. When trust gets shaken, even a “normal” space online can start to feel uncertain, and choosing distance in that moment is often just self-protection, not overreaction.

I would say.. I have FB account, but not using it. I use IG, WP for blogging and that’s about it. I’m new to your blog 🙂 Greetings from Latvia (Europe).

Hi! Thank you for your message from Latvia.

I am sharing my blog with WP readers and close friends, but I want to link one or two social media accounts to my blog. IG is good. I like taking photos.

I subscribed to your blog and YouTube channel. I know Latvia. My friend is from Lithuania, next to Latvia. I want to visit someday! 😊

Hi! Thank you so much for subscribing — that really means a lot 🤍

Instagram sounds like a perfect fit for you, especially if you enjoy photography. I also use IG.

And how lovely that you already have a connection to this part of the world! Lithuania is very close to Latvia — we’re like quiet neighbors with a lot in common. If you ever do visit, I think you’ll enjoy the slower pace, nature, and long evenings, especially in summer.

Thank you again for your kind message, and I’m looking forward to seeing your photos too 😊
