Pearl Harbor National Memorial

I hesitated to share photos I took at Pearl Harbor. But my eldest daughter is studying American history.

According to the history I learned in Japan, World War II began in Europe in 1939. The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, and Japan and the US entered the war.

Do you know what double rainbows mean?

They symbolize good luck and new beginnings.

A place steeped in memory and reflection. Sharing these images, especially from the perspective of history and education, invites us to understand the past in order to build a different future. The double rainbow, as a symbol of new beginnings, offers a message of hope amidst the remembrance.

i know what you mean. it’s a beautiful memorial but it carries alot of historical weight and gets abrasively wielded by ultra nationalists who never even had relatives there during the attack. Mike
