I like jokes. I can understand simple English jokes. For example, “why was 6 afraid of 7? Because 7, 8(ate), 9” and “What do you call a camel with three humps? – Pregnant” ← My daughter taught me the second one.

When I started teaching, I often watched an American guy’s talk shows in Japanese. His name is Atsugiri Jason (厚切りジェイソン). His humor was based on the confusion with Japanese kanji (one of the Japanese alphabets). I knew how learners have a hard time learning the Japanese alphabet.
I also share some anime movies with English subtitles in Japanese.

I wanted to add “Crayon Shin-chan (クレヨンしんちゃん)” here, but I noticed that you can watch the original version only in Japan. The English translation was different from Japanese. I know the reason, because the original one was funny but a dirty comedy.😅
