On Thursday, I arrived in Nagoya where my parents live. We originally had plans to go sightseeing in Osaka, but the car navigation (GPS) was broken. Also, there was a heavy traffic jam on the highway due to an accident and construction.
木曜日に実家のある名古屋に到着。大阪で観光する予定だったのですが、レンタカーに設置されているカーナビが故障中。しかも、高速道路では事故と工事のため渋滞。
On Friday, I went to the town hall. And the next day, I met my friends and former schoolteacher. Today is Sunday. I have a lot of things to do. I thought I could relax in Japan. Unfortunately, not at all, well I enjoy…😅
金曜日は区役所へ行って、土曜日は友人達や恩師と一緒にミニ同窓会、今日は日曜日ですが、朝からやることがいっぱいです。日本ではゆっくり出来ると思っていたけど、実際には全然。楽しんではいますが…😅
Japan is clean and safe everywhere. The food is delicious. However, the cost of living is more expensive than in Florida.
日本はどこへ行っても清潔で安全。食べ物も美味しいです。でも、フロリダと比べると、物価が少し高い感じかな。
Yesterday, I took the subway. I think it has been about 10 years since I last took it. I got a little lost because I had forgotten what the station was called and how to go to the destination. After almost one hour, I found the restaurant and had dinner with my friends and a former teacher together. We ate Nagoya’s local food, Hitsumabushi.
昨日は、久しぶりに地下鉄に乗りました。前回乗ったのは、10年ぐらい前かな。駅名や目的地への行き方も忘れてしまったため、少し迷子状態に。でも、約1時間後にお店を見つけて、一緒に食事をしました。食べた料理は、名古屋名物の「ひつまぶし」です。
I met my middle school teacher for the first time in over 20 years. I was so happy to see him. I meet my friends every time I come to Japan.
20年以上ぶりに、昔の恩師に会いました。元気な姿を見れて、嬉しかったです。友人達とは毎回帰国した時に会っていますけど。
I am watching Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953) starring Marilyn Monroe on TV. Why? I don’t really know…Hahaha
今、マリリン・モンロー主演の「紳士は金髪がお好き(1953年) 」をテレビでみています。どうして？あ、分かりません。(笑)
