Last night, I met a little friend in the backyard.
The opossum is a common animal in Florida. Last time, I found a dying female opossum. She came to me and suddenly flipped over. I thought she was playing. But she was actually dead. She had three tiny babies in the pouch. I took them to a nearby animal shelter. The shelter staff agreed to take care of them.
Opossums are nocturnal. They are adorable, but smelly.
