I am happy today. πWhy? Because it has been a year since I officially started blogging.
I started blogging in July of last year, but I changed my status to invisible in August and September. I had no idea what I was doing. Hahaπ€£Β I was able to ask someone for help, but I didn’t. I wanted to manage my blog alone.
I have learned from reading articles and *blogging…
β How to add external links (e.g., articles and YouTube)
β How to read other blogs and subscribe
β How to design my website
β How to be consistent and patient.
* My plan is not free.
The first day, I created a logo using Paint 3D (by Microsoft) and posted my first blog. I think it took 3 hours. I really needed practice time. So, after I finished my work, I wrote and saved 100 Japanese (my first language) blogs in 2 months and posted them one by one.
My original idea was to build a travel website. However, my daughters (English native speakers) said to me, βMama, all blogs are Japanese. I can’t read them!β
Oh, yes… I forgot about that. My kids can’t read and speak Japanese. So, in December, I started blogging in English as well and changed topics from travel to culture. I thought my kids would enjoy reading if the topics were educational.
For me, the first 6 months were not easy. Approximately over 80% of bloggers quit blogging within the first 6 months. That means I’m one of 20% who hasn’t quit. Somehow, this number motivated me. I know I am crazy. π Well, I want to continue blogging until 2033 (my goal is 2035).
I still have a lot of things to do to improve my website. Probably starting next year, I will add new educational content (page).
Last, my hardest personal goal and favorite quote is βDon’t look back. I live nowβ.
Enjoy your day! π
